I guess this is the Same Omry who posted the link to this blog in Lisa’s post. Thank you for the link and for the explanation achi, I can clearly visualize what you say about the relationship of Iran and Israel before the revolution, since I have interviewed many people from the generations before, the ones who were adults in the shah’s era. Did you know the fist Persian to English and English to persian dictionary was the result of the efforts of a scholarly Iranain Jewish honorable man ? the late Soleiman Haim. In fact this dictionary was the fist dictionary of Iran providing equivanelts and defini9tions of other languages into ours and vice versa. We still have Haim dictionary in Iran,. This gentleman has another great contribution to our literature and culture and that was compiling a Hebrew-Persian and Persian-Hebrew disctionary, which had been unique in its competence and application, it was republished on and on before the revolution, but after the revolution there were no more republications of the dictionary. I mean it was even a rare case if some one hada copy . The good news is that this gentleman’s son, has revised the great work of his father, and the little but ambitious group of Persian Jewish youths have done a great job, the dictionary is ready for publication if….

We call it Iran, although Israelis with Iranian roots are called Persians, I guess they don't feel comfortable been referred to as Iranians.
Israel and Iran had significant ties and friendship until the Islamic revolution in Iran at 1979, when the Shah of Iran was overthrown. after that Iran ended foreign relations with Israel.
I don't think most Israeli’s hate the Iranian people themselves, but they are certainly afraid of the Iranian leadership - which support Hizbollah which is certainly hated by Israeli’s.

Keep it up, and maybe one day you will be the Iranian ambassador in Israel :).

It is good to have connections, it is good to communicate, some times israelis and Iranains cannot communicate in the L2 that effectively, I wish there was a way to make each familiar with the mother tongue of the other. Well in Israel there are Persian Israelis who speak both the languages well, but in Iran I am not sure even if the Hebrew Alphabet are recognized, although we have one magazine which is officially the magazine of our Jewish community which has a site as well :
www.iranjewish.com, in the site there are some lessons for learning hebrew, the lessons are well designed but for some one with no back ground at all and for some one who wants to do a self study it is surely not sufficient.

As Persian language has a good number of Arabic words in it from the time of Arab conquest remaining and then expanding in the Persian language, Hebrew speaking learners of Persian language will find it easy to learn Persian, and this applies vice versa as well, because Arabic and Hebrew both have Aramaic roots and they are called sister languages.
I really wish despite all the political and regional controversies there was an opportunity that peoples and scholars and business boidies of two countiries could have relationship in order to furthur mutual understanding and exploring all the points that both nations could be interested in, which I believe, are more than many could imagine.

last time I checked, there is nothing bad in basing your blog, or a website on an ajax scripting. The only problem I see with his blog is the fact you can hardly call it this way. I'm pretty sure he is not the one who sits down and writes these posts you see on the site.
